What it’s like
Team laser tag in a 5000 sqft multi-level arena, with zombie survival and a futuristic sports mode to try once you've got your bearings.
You're kitted out in a coloured battlesuit and sent into a dark, multi-level arena to hunt the other team down. It's not just tag either: there are in-field targets to hit for bonus points, a zombie survival mode, and LaserBall, which is their own take on a futuristic sports game. Get zapped and you're out of action for six to eight seconds, weapon dead, but you can still be shot, so finding cover matters more than you'd think.
A half mission is 30 minutes of game time for £12.95, a full mission is an hour for £15.95, and both prices are for playing time in the arena rather than including the briefing beforehand. If you can get there for the Saturday or Sunday Early Bird slots it's noticeably cheaper, £8.95 between 9 and 10am or £10.95 between 10 and 11am, which is a decent trade if your kids are up early anyway. Up to 24 players can go in a session, so it works fine for a big birthday group or a smaller one.
Opening hours shift around depending on the day and time of year. Wednesday and Thursday it's 4pm to 8pm, Friday 12pm to 10pm, and weekends open early at 9am. In school holidays the hours change again, with Monday and Tuesday opening at 11am rather than staying shut like a normal term-time week. Booking is required across the board, and Monday and Tuesday public play specifically needs pre-booking rather than relying on a walk-in.
Parties run longer, 1.5 to 2.5 hours all told with party sessions built around a 2 hour slot, and packages start from £22 per person for arena hire, going up to full venue hire if you want the place to yourselves. Café NOVA does pizza and burgers on site, and there's a 15% discount for parties Monday to Thursday in term time. Parking isn't attached to the venue itself, but there's a car park by the Grill house a minute's walk away, an NCP multi storey 3 minutes off, and the RCP at Bignold school 4 minutes away if those are full.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£12.95 for a half mission of 30 minutes, £15.95 for a full mission of an hour. Weekend Early Bird slots knock the price down to £8.95 or £10.95 if you can get there for 9 or 10am.
Do we need to book?
Yes, booking is required for all sessions. Monday and Tuesday public play specifically needs pre-booking rather than turning up on spec.
What are the opening hours?
Wednesday and Thursday it's 4pm to 8pm, Friday 12pm to 10pm, Saturday from 9am to 10pm and Sunday 9am to 8pm. In school holidays Monday and Tuesday open at 11am, which is different from term time.
How long does a game last?
A half mission is 30 minutes of game time, a full mission is an hour. That's playing time in the arena, and the clock starts once you're actually in there, not during the briefing.
Is there an age limit?
The venue doesn't list a minimum age for laser tag.
How many people can play at once?
Up to 24 players in a public play session, so it suits a decent-sized group as well as a smaller one.
What happens when you get hit?
You're deactivated for six to eight seconds, your weapon goes dead, but you can still be zapped again, so it pays to duck out of sight.
What's there to eat?
Café NOVA is on site, with pizza and burger meals available.
Can you book a birthday party?
Party packages start from £22 per person for arena hire up to full venue hire, and sessions run about 2 hours including food. There's a 15% discount for parties Monday to Thursday in term time.
Where do you park?
There's no dedicated car park at the venue, but the Grill house car park is a minute's walk, an NCP multi storey is 3 minutes away, and the RCP at Bignold school is 4 minutes off.
