What it’s like

A floodlit outdoor circuit where you race proper 390cc hire karts, plus mini bikes and pit bikes if two wheels is more your thing.

This is a proper circuit, not a fairground track. The site lists an 1100-metre floodlit outdoor course, and the hire karts are 390cc Sodi karts, which is a step up from the bumper-car pace you get at a lot of family karting places. If your kids have raced smaller karts elsewhere and are itching for something with real speed, this is the obvious next stop.

There's also mini bike and pit bike racing on offer, so it's not just a one-format venue. Being floodlit, the circuit runs into the evening, which makes it a decent option for an after-school or after-work session rather than something you have to squeeze into a daylight window.

Booking is required rather than turn-up-and-go, so this isn't the kind of visit you can decide on the spot on a rainy Tuesday. Being an outdoor track, it's worth having a plan B in your back pocket if the weather turns properly foul on the day you've booked. There's a café on site.

The two-wheel option is worth a mention if you've got a mix of karting fans and bike fans in the family, since it means not everyone has to do the same thing.

Plan your visit

Do we need to book in advance?

Yes, booking is required, so this isn't a walk-up sort of place.

Is it just karts, or is there anything else?

There's mini bike and pit bike racing too, alongside the hire kart sessions.

What are the karts like?

390cc Sodi hire karts on an 1100-metre floodlit circuit, which is a proper racing setup rather than a gentle family track.

Is there anywhere to get food or a drink?

There's a café on site.

Does the circuit run in the evening?

It's floodlit, so sessions aren't limited to daylight hours.
