What it’s like
Eleven haunted mazes, fire performers and fairground rides across an outdoor scare event for over-13s only, running 5pm to 11pm.
This is a night out for teenagers and adults, not younger children. Everyone through the gate has to be 13 or over, and if you're bringing a 13, 14 or 15-year-old they need an adult with them. Once you're in, there are eleven separate haunted mazes to work through, plus stage shows with magicians, aerial acts and fire performers, carnival games and fairground rides scattered across the site.
Nobody manages all eleven mazes in one visit, by the site's own admission, so it's worth deciding early on which ones you actually want to queue for. And queue you will: some attractions run past an hour at busy times, which stings a bit when you've only got until 11pm and last entry's 10:55. Tickets are sold in phases, with earlier buyers getting the better price, so if you know you're going it pays not to leave it late.
The ground is uneven, outdoors, and gets wet and muddy, so this isn't a place for anything other than proper shoes, and it's not wheelchair accessible because of the terrain. You can't bring your own food or drink in, bags get checked on the way, but there's a decent spread inside: burgers, churros, wraps, street food vendors and several bars for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Parking on site is free, which takes one cost off the night at least.
If you fancy skipping the queues, VIP tickets get you unlimited jumps to the front, a T-shirt, a drink token and access to the VIP terrace bar. Groups of over 12 get a discount too, which makes it a decent shout for a birthday crowd rather than a couple heading out for the evening. Just don't bother bringing a camera, photography and video aren't allowed once you're in.

Plan your visit
What age do you need to be?
Everyone must be at least 13. If you're 13, 14 or 15 you need to be with an adult.
Can we buy tickets on the night?
No, tickets are pre-purchased only and there's nothing available on the door.
How long should we expect to be there?
It runs from 5pm to 11pm with last entry at 10:55pm, but the site says it's almost impossible to get round all eleven mazes in one visit.
Is there food and drink on site?
Plenty, including burgers, churros, wraps and other street food, plus bars serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can't bring your own in though, and bags get checked.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
The outdoor terrain rules that out, and surfaces get uneven, wet and muddy throughout the event.
What's the difference between general admission and VIP?
General admission covers all the mazes and stage shows. VIP adds unlimited queue jumps, a VIP T-shirt, a drink token and access to the VIP terrace bar.
Do groups get a discount?
Groups of over 12 people can get a discount, which is worth organising if you're planning a birthday night out.
