What it’s like
Two stages near Finsbury Park with comedy nights, drag storytelling and relaxed shows built for families, not just West End transfers.
This is a two-auditorium venue a couple of minutes from Finsbury Park station, and the family stuff sits alongside the main drama programme rather than being an afterthought. Comedy Club 4 Kids brings stand-ups and sketch acts for six-year-olds and up, and Drag Tales mixes storytelling, songs and puppets built round children's books. Productions generally suit five and up, so this isn't one for a toddler wanting a big loud panto.
Tickets run £9.50 for the smaller Park90 space and £18.50 for Park200, and there's a proper stack of concessions if you know where to look: £10 tickets for 16 to 29 year olds, discounts for local N postcode residents on Tuesdays, and pay-what-you-can tickets on Thursday matinees and Wednesday evenings, though those last ones are in-person only from the box office an hour before curtain, which is a bit of a faff if you're coming from further out.
Parent and baby performances are worth flagging if you've got a babe in arms under one, with reduced capacity and a relaxed attitude to noise, plus baby changing and feeding facilities on hand. There are also audio described shows with a touch tour of the set and costumes beforehand, and dementia friendly performances with adjusted lighting and sound.
There's no car park on site and street parking round here is limited and controlled, so the Victoria and Piccadilly line links at Finsbury Park are the sensible way in. Park Pizza & Bar is right there for food before or after, and the box office keeps decent hours if you want to sort tickets or ask about the exchange policy in person.
