What it’s like

Ramps for scooters, skateboards and BMX under one roof, with lessons and hire kit if you turn up empty-handed.

This is a ramp park for scooters, skateboards and BMX, and it's the riding that's the whole point, not a side attraction. You book a slot rather than just turning up, and sessions run from an hour up to a full day if your kid's the type to still be going at hour three. There are lessons too, so if they've never dropped in on a quarter pipe before, that's covered rather than left to trial and error.

The age rule is the thing to plan around. At weekends and during school holidays you need to be 7 or over, so this isn't a spontaneous wet-Saturday option for a younger one. Term time on weekdays there's a bit more give, with some flexibility around session times and under 7s, but you still have to call ahead to book, no walking in on the off chance.

Costs stack up depending on how long you stay: £9.60 for an hour, £12.60 for two hours, up to £36 for the whole day. If you haven't got your own gear, scooter hire is £4.50 and a skateboard is £3, plus £3 for a helmet, which adds up if you're kitting out more than one child. Everyone rides needs a Consent Form filled in before they're allowed on the ramps, so factor that into your arrival time rather than turning up five minutes before your slot.

Birthday parties run from £27 a head for the 10-plus group or £29 for 7 to 9 year olds, and that includes scooter and helmet hire plus a t-shirt, which takes some of the faff out of organising it yourself. The £50 deposit and payment due a week out is a bit more admin than some party venues ask for, so book early if you're setting a date.
