What it’s like
Themed maths sessions for toddlers and preschoolers, mixing dancing, stories and craft with counting and patterns.
Each session picks a theme and builds a whole world round it. One week your child might be dancing with dinosaurs, another week racing through a rainforest or shopping in a silly supermarket. Underneath the fun there's proper maths going on: counting, adding, subtracting, patterns and rhythm, all threaded into songs and games rather than sat down with worksheets.
There's a craft project every week too, so your child comes home with something they made, which is a nice way to see what actually stuck from the session. The mix of physical challenges alongside the fine motor stuff like painting, cutting and sticking means it's not all sitting still, and it's not all running about either.
This is squarely aimed at the 2 to 5 crowd, so don't expect it to hold a seven-year-old's attention. For a toddler or preschooler, the blend of story telling, turn-taking and dancing is pitched about right for that age, where a session needs to keep moving to keep them with you.
The themes change week to week, so if your child gets into one (say, the outer space singing session) it won't be back next time. That's either a plus if they like novelty, or a bit of a shame if they've found a favourite.

Plan your visit
What age is this for?
It's aimed at 2 to 5 year olds, so toddlers and preschoolers rather than school-age kids.
What actually happens in a session?
It's themed, so one week might be dinosaurs with dancing, another week a rainforest race or singing in outer space. There's music, story telling, games and a craft activity to take home.
Is it all sitting and listening, or do they get to move?
Both. There are physical challenges and dancing as well as quieter fine motor bits like painting, cutting and sticking.
Do the kids learn anything from it, or is it just play?
There's real maths woven through it, counting, adding, subtracting and patterns, all done through music and games rather than formal teaching.
