What it’s like
Pick your own pumpkin from a field of nearly 90,000 plants, then hit the bouncy castle and mini fairground rides.
The main job here is picking your own pumpkin, and there's proper choice: over fifty varieties spread across almost 90,000 plants. There's a pumpkin trail too, with donations going to the Air Ambulance, which gives you a reason to walk the whole field rather than grabbing the first orange one you see.
Once the picking's done there's a bouncy castle and a few mini fairground rides, teacups and bungees among them. It's not a huge day out but it fills a couple of hours nicely for kids up to about early teens, and under-3s go free so a baby in a sling isn't going to cost you anything extra.
Pricing is split into off-peak and peak days. Off-peak, adults are £2.50 and kids 3 to 15 get in free. On peak dates, which cover the second half of October including half term, adults go up to £3.50 and kids to £1. There's a 25p booking fee on top of paid tickets, which is a small annoyance but not one that'll break the bank.
You'll need to book a timed slot in advance, entry only, and it's worth knowing last entry is at least an hour before closing. The season is short, just the 4th to the 31st of October 2026, so it's not somewhere you can turn up on a whim in November. Food comes from Oakfield Farm plus a couple of local stalls, Willows and Paws for a Brew, if you fancy a hot drink while the kids queue for the bouncy castle.
