What it’s like

Kids pick pumpkins and seasonal fruit in the open fields - no entrance fee, pay for what you pick.

Oaks Lane in Oxton is a proper outdoor pick-your-own field day - pumpkins in autumn, and seasonal fruit when it is running. No entrance fee: you pay for what you pick. Pumpkins start at £3.

For pumpkin season 2026 they open Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, then daily 17-31 October, 09:30-17:00. The summer sunflower field and maize maze will not open in 2026 after extreme weather. No booking needed for picking; check the site or socials before you travel in case fruit runs out or weather closes the gates.

Free parking on site, portaloos with hand-washing, and food and drink from Doughnotts and Little Schnauzer Coffee Co. Dogs are not allowed. Fields can be uneven and muddy, so leave the fancy pushchair at home if it has been wet. Not on a direct bus route - drive or plan a taxi.

Opposite the golf club entrance off the A6097 / A614 - do not turn down the golf drive. what3words: flop.excavated.manhole. Photographer passes and exclusive hire are by email only.
