What it’s like
One-to-one lessons in guitar, bass, drums, piano, singing and ukulele, plus band workshops for teens and adults.
This is a proper music school setup rather than a drop-in session: one-to-one lessons on guitar, bass, drums, piano, singing or ukulele, all taught individually rather than in groups. Lessons run at either 30 minutes or a full hour, and there's a free 30-minute taster lesson if you want to try before committing to anything longer.
From 5 upwards, kids can get going on an instrument, and the one-to-one format means the pace is set by the child rather than a class timetable. Once you're past the introductory stage, a single 30-minute lesson is £22, or £35 for the hour. Block bookings bring the price down: 5 x 30 minutes is £105 and 10 x 30 minutes is £190, while 5 x 60-minute lessons comes to £155 and 10 x 60-minute lessons is £295. If your child is 12 to 17, there are band workshops too, at £21 a session, alongside a separate pop choir and band workshops for adults.
The catch with block bookings is that the discount is locked in once you've paid, no refunds for any of it, even if life gets in the way. Cancellations need 24 hours notice or you're charged in full regardless of the reason, and no new lessons can be booked until any outstanding cancellation charge is settled. It's worth being realistic about your family's diary before you commit to a block of ten.
Parking is free in the business park, but you do need to register your car at reception (there's a QR code to scan) or risk a parking fine, which is an odd bit of admin for what's otherwise a straightforward booking process.
