What it’s like
A big outdoor activity menu for kids seven and up: mountain biking, go-kart safari, axe throwing, archery and raft building on the same site.
This isn't a soft play or a padded frame. It's a proper outdoor activity centre where kids seven and older get stuck into mountain biking on trails pitched from beginner to expert, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding, plus a go-kart safari that's probably the bit they'll bring up in the car home. There's also archery, axe throwing, a climbing wall, orienteering courses and raft building, so a group can genuinely spend a full day moving between activities without repeating anything.
The seven-plus age line is worth knowing before you book, because this rules out a family day with younger siblings unless someone's happy to sit some of it out. It suits a confident nine or ten-year-old far better than a nervous seven-year-old, especially once axe throwing and the climbing wall are in the mix.
Birthday parties run here too, with fully qualified coaches leading the activities and on-site catering, which takes the pressure off organising games yourself. Coaches also do school visits and group bookings, so it reads as a place built for groups rather than a quick solo drop-in. Dogs are welcome if you're bringing one along.
Given the range on offer, from raft building to go-karting, this is more of a half-day-plus outing than something you nip into for an hour. Worth going in with a rough idea of which two or three activities the kids are most excited about, since trying to fit everything into one visit is ambitious.
