What it’s like
A homegrown annual pantomime with big sets and bigger costumes, and kids under 16 go free on the concession rate.
This is a proper local pantomime, put on by a Sheffield am-dram group who clearly don't do things by halves. The site talks up the sets and costumes, and there's live music with the kind of larger-than-life characters that panto needs to work. If your kids have never seen one before, this is a low-risk way to find out if they're a panto family.
Money-wise it's generous. Under 16s and over 60s go in on a concession rate that's free, and infants under 2 don't need a ticket at all if they're happy on a lap. Want your toddler their own seat instead of your knee for two hours? You'll pay the normal child rate for that, which is fair enough.
There's no booking link online, so you're calling a mobile number for anything beyond just turning up, whether that's a wheelchair space, a carer ticket or a group of more than 15. It's a bit old-fashioned compared to clicking through a website, but it does mean you're talking to an actual person about your seats. Do check age restrictions on the show before you bring little ones, since not every performance is aimed at the youngest end.
If you need to change your date, they'll try to move you but there may be a fee and the price could go up, and refunds only happen if they cancel the show themselves. Worth being sure of your date before you commit.

Plan your visit
How much are tickets for kids?
Free, on the concession rate for under 16s. Infants under 2 are free too as long as they sit on an adult's lap; give them their own seat and you'll pay the normal child rate.
Do we need to book in advance?
There's no online booking, so you'd call 07533 021 407 for wheelchair spaces, carer tickets or group bookings of more than 15.
Is it OK to bring a baby?
Yes, infants under 2 go free and sit on your lap. Just check the age restrictions on the particular performance first, since not all of them suit the youngest kids.
Can I get a refund or swap my tickets?
Refunds only happen if the performance itself gets cancelled. You can call to try to swap your date, but there may be a fee and the price might have gone up.
What if someone in our group needs a wheelchair space?
There's room for 4 to 10 wheelchairs per performance and they try to seat carers and family close by. Call 07533 021 407 to book it in.
