What it’s like
Free rock pools and a swim spot with limited parking, right by Shoreham-by-Sea.
Rock pools are the main event here. Kids can spend a good hour poking about in them before you've even got the towels out for a swim. There's no entry charge, which makes it an easy one to add to a day out without much planning.
Swimming is the other half of it, so you've got both a pottering activity and an actual swim without moving the car. Bring your own everything though, since there's nothing listed on site to buy once you're there.
Parking is limited, and that's the bit that'll catch you out on a warm weekend. Get there early or be ready to walk from further off. Dogs are allowed.
