What it’s like
Holiday clubs and after-school sessions in art, cooking and animation for kids aged 4 to 14, plus hosted painting parties.
Drawing, 3D craft, cooking and stop-motion animation are the four things on offer, split across half days and full days in the school holidays, or weekly after-school clubs at various schools during term time. A full holiday day runs £43, and you can mix morning and afternoon activities, so a child could do craft before lunch and drawing and painting after it. Packed lunches are needed for a full day, and materials and ingredients are all included in the price, so there's nothing extra to buy or bring beyond food.
The age range is 4 to 14, which is broad, but the mix-and-match sessions mean a younger child doing craft in the morning isn't stuck in the same room as a 14-year-old animator all day. The after-school clubs at Valentine Workshop, Lydgate Junior and Totley Primary are the cheaper way in if your child already goes to one of those schools, running from £8.50 to £14.75 a week.
Birthday parties are themed painting sessions, two hours long, fully hosted with two staff and food included for up to 16 children, at £375. If you'd rather run it yourself there's a £180 DIY hire option over three hours, which is the better call if you've got your own party plan and just want the space and materials. Booking four or more holiday club days together saves you 10% off the total, worth doing if the school holidays stretch out and you need more than a day or two covered.
They describe themselves as a fully inclusive setting and work with SNIPS to place children with additional needs.
