Art & Craft Classes in Sheffield
Sheffield does not have a big line-up of craft studios, but the two on offer cover quite different ground. 7th Magpie, right in the centre, is a maker space where you hire the kit yourself, so it suits anyone happy to have a go on a 3D printer, laser cutter or badge maker rather than sit through a taught class. Kids Arts Academy, a couple of miles out, runs holiday clubs and after-school sessions in art, cooking and animation for ages 4 to 14, and does painting parties too. If you have a younger child, Kids Arts Academy is the one built around them, with sessions from £8.50 and a clear age range to book into. If your kids are older, or you fancy trying something yourself, 7th Magpie's equipment hire gives you more freedom to make what you actually want. Both are indoor options, useful for a wet Sheffield afternoon, and both sit close enough to the centre to combine with something else in town.
