What it’s like
A space-themed inflatable arena with slides, battle beams and a slam-dunk course for climbing, launching and bouncing through.
The whole arena runs on a space theme, so instead of a plain bounce park you get the Vertical Launch Slide, Warp Speed Slide and a Space Wars Battle Beam to knock each other off, plus Rocket Racers and the Space Jam Slam-dunk for anyone who fancies themselves a shot. Moon Mountain and the InflataCrater are there for the climbing and jumping basics, and the Interactive Cardio Walls give older kids something to actually get their heart rate up on rather than just bouncing about.
Sessions are booked in one or two hour slots, and the minimum age to bounce in the main arena is 4. Under that, the Family Sessions at £12.50 an hour are built for ages 1 to 11 plus their parents, which is a sensible way round the age-4 rule if you've got a toddler and a five-year-old who both want a go. Peak general admission is £16.50 an hour, which isn't cheap once you've paid for grip socks too, though at £2 a pair if you forget yours that's not the end of the world.
Grip socks are compulsory throughout and you cannot bring your own food or drink in beyond water and baby food, so the café upstairs is where lunch happens if you're staying a while. It's accessible by lift, and if you're not bouncing yourself you don't pay and can just sit up there with a coffee. Parking's free on site at Benfield Business Park, though the facts note it can get tight at peak times.
Turning up late costs you the slot, with no promise of a replacement, so it pays to build in a bit of slack getting there. Everyone needs a signed waiver before bouncing, done by a parent if under 18, and it covers you for a year once it's in. Birthday parties need a minimum of 10 children and get an hour of bouncing plus half an hour for food, with the birthday child getting a free go on the Space Rider.
