What it’s like

Free book borrowing, computers and wifi, plus events for all ages, no charge to get in.

Borrowing a stack of picture books costs nothing here, and you can walk out with up to 12 of them for three weeks at a time. There's wifi and public computers too, handy if you need to print something or the kids want to poke about on the library's machines instead of your phone.

The site mentions events and activities for all ages, so it's not just shelves of books, there's usually something on if you catch it at the right time. If you're the type who forgets a due date, there's no overdue charge for anyone under 16, which takes the sting out of a late return, and the same goes if you're 60 or over.

Digital readers get a look in too. Up to 11 eBooks and eAudiobooks are free through the eLibrary, so a rainy afternoon can turn into a screen-based reading session without anyone reaching for a card.
