What it’s like

Outdoor swimming, paddleboarding and dedicated H2oKids sessions on the water, booked in one-hour slots.

This is a spot for getting in the water properly rather than just paddling at the edge. There are outdoor swimming lessons, paddleboarding, and H2oKids sessions built for younger swimmers, all run in one-hour slots. If your kids are comfortable in open water already, or keen to learn, this gives them a proper stretch of it rather than a splash pool.

A regular swim session is £7, and if you know you'll be coming back it's worth doing the sums on the £20 annual membership. Paddleboarding is £16 to get on the water, and if you'd rather bring your own skill level than a lesson, SUP board hire is also £16 for two hours. That's a fair chunk of change for an afternoon, so it suits families who'll make proper use of it rather than a one-off dip.

Everything runs Tuesday to Friday, 10.30am to 5pm, and you'll need to book ahead as they don't take walk-ins. With sessions capped at an hour, it's a tight, focused visit rather than a lounge-about-all-day one, so plan around it rather than expecting to linger.
