What it’s like
Bowling, a roller rink and karaoke under one roof, but family visits have to be wrapped up by 8pm.
Bowling's the anchor here, but you can bundle it with the roller rink or karaoke as part of the games package, so it's not just twelve frames and out the door. It's inside Ocean Terminal in Leith, so if the bowling loses its shine after game one there's a shopping centre's worth of distraction on the doorstep.
The catch, and it's a proper one for families, is the clock. Under-18s are welcome until 8pm, and after that it switches to an adults-only venue. So if you're booking an evening slot, build in the time to actually finish and get out before then rather than watching the game clock and the wall clock at once.
Money-wise, the off-peak package is £13 a head for one game of bowling plus another activity, which feels reasonable for two games' worth of entertainment rather than one. It's an "off-peak, from" price and subject to availability, so a Saturday night rate could land differently. Parking's free on site, which takes one cost worry off the table before you've even walked in.
They do birthday parties and group bookings, and food's available if you book one of the packages rather than just turning up and asking for a table. Booking ahead is recommended generally, but it matters more for evenings, weekends and school holidays when lanes get snapped up.

How much does it cost?
The off-peak package is £13 a person for one game of bowling plus another activity like the roller rink or karaoke. That price is subject to availability, so it can shift at busier times.
Do we need to book ahead?
It's recommended rather than compulsory, but for evenings, weekends and school holidays you'll want to, so you don't miss out on a lane.
Is it OK to bring the kids?
Under-18s are welcome up to 8pm as long as a parent or guardian is with them. After 8pm it becomes an adults-only venue, so plan a family visit to wrap up before then.
Can we get food while we're there?
You can, but you book it as part of one of the packages rather than just asking for a table on arrival.
Is there parking?
Yes, there's free parking on site at Ocean Terminal.
