What it’s like
A weekend farm wander with animals to spot and picnic space, plus a farmers market with activities for kids.
Tramping around the farm is the whole point here. It's open Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 3pm, with last entry at half two, so you're not rushing a toddler through the gate at ten to three. When the farmers market's on, there are activities laid on for children too, which is worth timing your visit around if you can.
It's properly cheap: £4 for an adult and £1 for a child, so a family visit won't dent the week's shopping. There's a picnic area and an orchard bit set aside for eating, which beats balancing sandwiches on a fence post, and dogs are welcome on leads at the farmers market events if you're bringing one along. The farm shop keeps different hours, Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, so that's your fallback if the weekend farm session doesn't fit.
One thing to flag if you're driving over: ULEZ charges may apply depending on where you're coming from.
