WHERE

What it’s like

A one-day country fair with funfair rides, archery and axe throwing on the May Bank Holiday.

Funfair rides sit alongside archery and axe throwing here, which is an unusual combination for a country fair and probably the bit your kids talk about on the way home. It's a single day event, Bank Holiday Monday, gates open at 9am and shut at 5pm, so you've got a full day to work through the rides and have a go at the throwing activities without feeling rushed.

Food comes from twelve vendors on site, coffee bars, ice cream and catering stalls among them. Parking is onsite and free-flowing on a first-come, first-served basis, with forward parking on the show ground itself if you're early enough.

Dogs are welcome if they're on a short fixed lead and under control. Tickets are sold online only through the organiser's own booking system, and they run occasional offers rather than concession or carer tickets.
