What it’s like
Free to walk round and feed the animals, then pay a small fee to let the kids loose in the indoor playbarn.
Getting into Doniford Farm Park costs nothing. You wander round, look at the animals, and buy a bag of feed from the farm shop if you fancy it. The playbarn is where the money goes: £6 for a child aged up to 12 (that includes the accompanying adult, which is a decent way to price it), £1 if they're over 12, and £2.50 for under-ones. Pay as you go in, no booking needed.
It suits toddlers up to about 12, since the playbarn's indoor apparatus is aimed squarely at that range and there's an over-12 rate if you've got an older one tagging along. The animals are the free bit you can do at any pace, the playbarn's where they'll actually want to stay. Doors open at 10am and last entry's an hour before the 4pm close, so don't roll up at half three expecting a full go.
One faff worth knowing: you can't bring your own food in, no packed lunches or picnics at all. The coffee shop and restaurant do the job instead, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast and a Sunday carvery if you time it right, and they say they'll sort different diets if you ask. Dogs aren't allowed in the playbarn either, so if you're walking one you'll be taking turns outside.
Parking's free and covers the farm park, café, restaurant and playbarn, which takes one thing off the list. If you're thinking about a birthday, they do party slots with a £100 deposit that covers ten children, a meal and two hours in the playbarn, mornings or afternoons most days.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Getting into the farm itself is free. The playbarn is £6 for a child 12 and under, £1 over 12, and £2.50 under one, and that price covers the adult with them too.
Do we need to book?
No, you pay when you arrive. Sunday carvery and parties are the exception, those need a phone call or a visit to the farmshop with a deposit.
What time can we go?
Open every day from 10am to 4pm, with last entry an hour before closing.
Can we bring a picnic?
Packed lunches and picnics aren't allowed on site. There's a coffee shop and restaurant instead, including an all-you-can-eat breakfast and a Sunday carvery.
Is it any good for a toddler?
Under-ones get in for £2.50 and the playbarn's soft indoor apparatus works well for that age, with adults free to stay right by them.
Is there parking?
Free on-site parking covers the farm park, café, restaurant and playbarn.
Can we bring the dog?
Dogs aren't allowed in the playbarn, so you'd be taking turns if you've got one with you.
Can you do a birthday party there?
Parties need a £100 deposit which covers ten children, a meal and two hours in the playbarn. Slots run morning or afternoon Monday to Saturday, mornings only on Sunday.
