What it’s like

Escape rooms and murder mystery cases for teens and adults, built around crime scenes and real evidence, not fairy tale puzzles.

This isn't your average escape room. You're inspecting crime scenes, testing blood samples and working through actual evidence to crack a case, and one option even has you running a radio station while hunting a killer. It's built for older teens and adults rather than a family outing, with the minimum age set at 15, so leave the younger ones with grandma for this one.

The escape rooms run about 90 minutes and cost £25 a head, which is on the steeper side for an hour and a half out, though if you've got a group of mates or teenagers who take their detective work seriously it's the kind of thing that earns its price in bragging rights afterwards. There are smaller bureau games at £20 a person if you want something lower key, and murder mystery party games for bigger groups at £15 a player, good for a birthday do rather than a quick date night.

Worth flagging before you book: some of the cases deal with heavy themes, including suicide and realistic firearm replicas. That's not a criticism, it's just not something to walk into blind if anyone in your group is squeamish. They're open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 till 11, so there's room to fit a case in around a late lunch or an evening out.

If you're planning a bigger event, the murder mystery parties stretch to 35 players and the pop-up crime scenes can handle up to 75, which makes this a genuinely different option for a work do or a milestone birthday rather than the usual meal and pub crawl.
