What it’s like
Pick your own strawberries, get lost in a six-acre maize maze, and let the kids loose in the Funyard.
The pull here is picking your own fruit off the plant, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and more depending on the season, then heading off to get properly lost in the Mega Maze. Six acres of maize is no joke for a small kid, and the site's honest that the terrain in there is uneven and a bit of a workout, so save it for the ones who've got the legs for it. Younger ones who aren't up for the maze have the Funyard instead, which covers the general messing about that farm visits are for.
Bear in mind the Mega Maze only opens from mid July through October, and the Funyard runs March to October, so a winter visit is a different, quieter day out built more around the café and the shop. October is the big one anyway, with the pumpkin patch and its reported 20,000 pumpkins, plus a Halloween Torchlight Maze if you fancy it after dark. Ages from 3 up are the target, which tracks, given how much of the fun involves walking on rough ground.
Food-wise there's a café doing homemade baking and hot food (though that stops at 3pm), with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options covered, and a farm shop for fruit and local veg to take home. You can also bring your own picnic if you'd rather not pay café prices, and there's a picnic area set aside for it.
Parking's free and there are accessible bays, which is one less thing to think about, though it's worth knowing the fruit picking areas have irrigation ruts underfoot and the maze recommends outdoor-terrain wheelchairs rather than standard ones. Last entry for picking is 3:45pm, so don't turn up at four expecting a full go at the fields.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Prices aren't given here, but birthday parties are £16.50 a head with a £50 deposit if that's any guide to the ballpark.
Do we need to book?
There's no booking link mentioned, though groups of 20 or more are asked to email ahead.
Is it OK for a toddler?
The farm's aimed at 3 and up, and the ground in the picking areas and maze is uneven, so a toddler's better off in the Funyard than the maize maze.

What about the pumpkin patch?
October only, with over 20,000 pumpkins of every size and colour going by their count.
