What it’s like

A comedy musical tour of the city done from the back of a cab, with castles, glens or hills thrown in if you fancy going further.

This is a taxi tour with a script. You get driven round in a cab while the comedy and music happens around you, and from what they list it's built to feel like an interactive show rather than a sightseeing trip with a driver who won't stop talking. Ninety minutes is the standard length, which feels about right for a route through the city before anyone's attention starts to wander.

If you want more than the city loop, there's an option to head out to castles, glens, hills or woodlands, but that comes with a catch: anything beyond the city is a three hour minimum. That's a big jump from ninety minutes, so it's worth deciding upfront whether you actually want the longer day or just the city version.

It's pitched at 12 and up, so this isn't one for younger kids, more a teenager or a mixed group of adults and older kids who'll actually get the jokes. Groups are capped at five people per tour, which keeps it personal but also means you can't just bundle in a big birthday crowd and hope for the best. Speaking of which, they do run these for birthdays and special occasions.

How long does the tour take?

The standard city tour is 90 minutes. If you go further afield to castles or glens, it jumps to a three hour minimum.

How many people can go on one tour?

Five people maximum per tour, so it stays small rather than a big group booking.

Is this suitable for younger children?

It's aimed at 12 and up, so it's really one for older kids and teenagers rather than young ones.

Can we book this for a birthday?

Yes, they do birthday and special occasion bookings alongside the standard tours.
