What it’s like
Headphone parties where kids dance to their own music channel, with the whole thing turning up at your door.
This is a silent disco party that comes to you rather than the other way round. Kids get headphones, pick a channel, and get stuck into dancing challenges and games while everyone else in the room hears nothing at all, which is funnier than it sounds when you watch a ten-year-old absolutely committing to a dance move in total silence.
It's aimed at 5 to 12 year olds, and they'll come to a party venue, a community hall or just your own living room, so you don't need to hire anywhere special. For the 12-plus crowd they switch it up to outdoor roaming adventures instead, walking around with the headphones on rather than dancing in one spot.
Both the Dance Party and the Adventure Party packages are £195, and the Adventure one runs 90 minutes and seems to be the one most people book. That's not pocket change for a kids party, but the standard price covers up to 20 children, and if you've got a bigger group they say there are better value options rather than just charging per extra head. Worth knowing there's no strict cap either.
They cover Edinburgh along with a handful of other UK cities, so if you're hosting somewhere else it's worth checking they reach that far. Booking ahead is a must since this isn't a walk-in sort of thing, someone has to bring the kit and headphones to you on the day.
