Brighton Prestige Boat Trips
WHERE
Brighton
What it’s like
Small-group coastal boat trips from Brighton Marina, past the pier and out to the Rampion Wind Farm.
You climb aboard a classic motor yacht at Brighton Marina and head out along the Sussex coast, with Brighton Pier sliding past on one side and the turbines of the Rampion Wind Farm out on the horizon. There's wildlife to spot too, so it's worth keeping eyes on the water rather than just the phone camera. Groups are kept small, typically 4 to 12 people, which makes it feel more like a private trip out than a coach party on water.
You can bring your own food and drinks on board, picnic-style, and there's a proper toilet on the boat, which matters more than you'd think on a longer sailing. Certain spots like the flybridge and forward deck are off limits, and kids need supervising the whole time. Sensible shoes and clothing are asked for rather than flip flops and sundresses, which tells you it's a working boat more than a booze cruise.
Weather calls the shots here. If conditions turn, they'll ring you to rearrange for another date, and if that's not possible you get a refund, so a grey forecast isn't necessarily the end of your plans. Parking at the marina is plentiful and it's an easy reach by car, bus or taxi, but booking ahead is essential and payment in full is needed before you set off.
