What it’s like
Real M4-style rifles, plastic pellets and combat scenario maps for two hours of proper tactical shooting, minimum age 12.
This is airsoft, not the nerf-and-foam stuff: M4 style rifles that look and feel close to the real thing, firing small plastic pellets across combat scenario maps. You're looking at 12 and up here, so it's a session for older kids and teens rather than a family outing with the little ones in tow.
A session runs about two hours and costs £35 a head, which isn't pocket money, but you do get proper kit and a decent chunk of game time for it. The catch is the ten-player minimum. Book with fewer than that and Battlezone can shift you to another date or cancel the session outright, so this works best as a group booking, a birthday squad or a work outing rather than a solo turn-up.
Everyone taking part has to fill in a digital waiver before they play, the link comes through on your booking confirmation, so get that sorted before the day rather than scrambling at the gate. Wear stuff you don't mind getting muddy, especially your shoes, and dress for the weather since there's no coverall kit provided like paintball gives you. They say it stings less than paintball, but a shot at close range will still make itself known.
Parking's free on site, which helps given the price of the session itself, though the car park isn't huge and they suggest car sharing if your group's arriving in more than one vehicle. Just note anything left in the car is at your own risk.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£35 per person for around two hours of airsoft.
Do we need to book in advance?
Booking's essential, and you can book up to 24 hours ahead. Sessions need a minimum of 10 players to go ahead, so smaller groups risk being moved or cancelled.
What age do you need to be?
12 and up, this isn't one for younger kids.
What should we wear?
Clothes you don't mind getting muddy and shoes that can take a battering. There's no coverall kit like you'd get with paintball, so dress for the weather.
Is there parking?
Free car park on site, but it's not huge, so car sharing is a good shout if your group's got several cars. Vehicles and belongings are left at your own risk.
