What it’s like
A cluster of proper thrill rides, a freefall swing, reverse bungee and a climbing web, alongside classic fairground spins.
This is the spot for the ride that makes your stomach drop rather than the gentle teacup spin. The Skycoaster sends you into a freefall swing, the Skyscreamer flings you up and back like a reverse bungee, and Spider Mountain gives climbers a proper web to scramble over. If that's too much, Maxibounce and the bouncy slide are a softer landing, and the carousel, waltzer and dodgems cover the classic fairground end of things.
It's a mixed bag of intensity, which is the appeal really. You could have one kid queuing for the Skycoaster while another sticks to the dodgems, and nobody has to compromise on the scale of thrill they fancy. The big rides look like they're built for kids with a bit of nerve and height behind them, while the carousel and bouncy slide are the gentler fallback for smaller ones tagging along.
One thing to flag: the site says rides operate weather permitting, which for anything built around swinging or bungee mechanisms makes sense, but it does mean a blustery day could mean some rides are off. Worth having a plan B in your back pocket if the wind's up.
