What it’s like
A free outdoor park for skateboarding, BMX and blading, lit until 9pm so you're not racing the sunset.
This is a proper outdoor spot for wheels rather than a play park with a couple of ramps bolted on. Skateboards, BMX bikes and blades all get used here, so it suits a kid who's already got the basics down and wants space to actually practise rather than a beginner class.
There's no charge to get in, which makes it an easy one to add to an afternoon without planning much around it. Being lit until 9pm daily is the detail that changes how you use the place: you're not packing up the second it gets dark in winter, and long summer evenings mean you can turn up after tea and still get a proper session in.
It's outdoors and open-air, so a dry evening makes a much better session than a damp one, and there's nothing here to duck into if the weather turns. Bring your own kit, and be ready to just watch for a stretch if you've got a rider who's still working out their confidence on the bigger stuff.
