Christmas evening dining at Bodenham Arboretum on selected Thursdays in December, with mulled wine on arrival.

Bodenham Arboretum is running Christmas Thursday evening dinners on 3rd, 10th and 17th December, 6pm to 8pm. Guests get mulled wine on arrival, then a choice of starter, main and dessert. Starters include prawn cocktail, pâté of the day, garlic mushrooms, soup of the day or smoked salmon. For mains there's traditional roast turkey, a roast of the day or a vegetarian option (apricot and goats cheese roast, or spinach, mushroom, cranberry and brie Wellington), all served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and the usual trimmings, plus a separate vegan option of butternut squash, lentil and almond Wellington. Desserts range from traditional Christmas pudding and sherry trifle sundae to Bramley apple crumble, triple chocolate brownie or mixed fruit pavlova, served with brandy sauce, ice cream, cream or custard, followed by coffee and chocolate mints. Two courses cost £30 and three courses £34. The venue is licensed with wines, local ales, ciders and lagers, but you're also welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks, with glasses supplied free of charge. Groups of any size are welcome, though it's best to check availability before booking. A £10 per person deposit is needed along with a completed pre-order form to secure a table, and bookings are made by calling 01562 852444 or using the online booking form.
