Talks, Lectures & Author Events in Cardiff
Talks and author events are a bit thin on the ground here, and honestly the two places on this list are not really built for lectures at all. Penarth Leisure Centre, out at Penarth, is a swimming and softplay spot with sessions from £2.70 for ages 0 to 16, and Belle Vue Park Tea Rooms in Newport is a café with gardens and a play area rather than anywhere you would expect a speaker series. So if you came here hoping for a proper talk or a book signing, there is not much to point you to yet. What is here suits a different kind of afternoon: a splash about at Penarth with free parking and a hearing loop if you need one, or a slower one in Newport with a picnic booked ahead and somewhere for the kids to run about while you sit with a pot of tea.
