Theatres & Shows in Stoke-on-Trent

Theatre round here isn't just sitting in the stalls. The House of Lawrence, right in the heart of Stoke, mixes theatrical shows with special-effects illusions, and some dates even throw in a family pride after-party. Out at Stone, Rooftop Studios runs drama and musical theatre classes for kids from age 3, with prices from £27 and a Halloween workshop that blends dancing, aerial and crafts. For adults, there's a drive out to Stafford for Magic Voices, an 18+ musical theatre choir where you turn up on a Monday evening and sing West End numbers in harmony. If you've got a younger one keen to perform rather than just watch, the Stone classes are the ones to book, and there's parking on site. For a one-off show close to the centre, The House of Lawrence is easiest, though it's card only, so leave the cash at home. And if the choir's more your thing than the kids', Stafford's the one to put in the diary, free parking included.
