What it’s like

A live music venue in Sheffield with gigs and events that run from acoustic afternoons to loud full band nights.

This one's really for the older kids and teenagers rather than a family day out in the usual sense. Yellow Arch puts on live music events, gigs, raves and open mics, and prices swing a lot depending on who's playing, anywhere from £7 up to £26. Some days there's an acoustic matinee for £10 followed by a full band evening show for £13.50, or you can do both for £20, which is handy if you fancy a quieter afternoon set before the louder night one.

Worth knowing that some events carry a 16+ restriction, so this isn't a venue you can assume is open to all ages without checking what's actually on. It can get very loud during events too, though they do have free ear plugs on hand if you need them, which is a nice touch for anyone sensitive to noise.

There's a café and bar on site, and if you're planning something bigger they do party and event hire, either the Venue Room for up to 100 guests at £500 plus VAT, or the full site for up to 250 with two rooms and a courtyard. Both come with a stocked bar, your own music, and no minimum bar spend, and catering options include pizza buffets and Greek food.

Access is a mixed bag. The main Venue Room is wheelchair accessible with street level entry and there's a RADAR key toilet, but the Side Bar has two steps and isn't accessible. Parking is street only, pay and display until 3pm, and there's no on-site car park, so factor that into arriving for an evening show.
