Kibworth Harcourt
What it’s like
Kibworth Harcourt farm park - rare breeds, tractor rides and outdoor play plus indoor play barn amenity. From £8.95.
Windmill Farm Park near Kibworth Harcourt packs rare and native breeds into a proper Leicestershire farm day - goats (including the UK's only Nigerian Dwarf), sheep, alpacas, llamas, Tamworth pigs, guinea-pig fishing, egg collecting and a tractor ride when it is running. Outdoor adventure play and jumping pillows sit with an award-winning indoor play barn as wet-weather backup - farm-primary listing, not a soft-play centre.
Tickets from about £8.95 online for adult or child (2+); infants 0-23 months free. Hub hours currently Thursday-Monday 10am-4pm; cafe and indoor play close a little earlier. Opening days are seasonal - check the operator calendar before you travel. Cashless site only. Picnics welcome outdoors, not inside the cafe or play barn. The Glade restaurant is also on site for breakfast and lunch without needing a farm ticket.
Honest heads-up: not open seven days year-round, special events like Halloween are priced separately, and the indoor barn is an amenity not the main product. Birthday parties from about £17.95 per child. Best suited to ages 1-10 for the play side, though all ages enjoy the animals.
