What it’s like

Free Sheffield city museum - Egypt, wildlife and a play bus for under-fives when rain hits.

Weston Park Museum is Sheffield's easy indoor plan: Egypt, local history, wildlife and enough for a half-day without spending on tickets. Donations welcome.

Soft Play is N - the Play Bus is a museum play corner, not a soft-play centre. Cafe, baby change and solid access kit on site.

Tue-Sat 10:00-17:00, Sun 11:00-16:00, closed Mondays. Park nearby or tram to University of Sheffield.

How do we find it?

By bus take the 51 (Lodge Moor direction) or 52 (Crookes direction) from Arundel Gate, High Street or West Street. By tram the nearest stop is University of Sheffield, about a 650m walk. By road leave the M1 at junction 33 and take the A57 to Sheffield, following signs for the University; park and ride available at Middlewood, Meadowhall and Nunnery Square. The museum has no car park of its own; the nearest public car park is the Q-Park on Durham Road, with 25% discount voucher available from staff. Disabled parking spaces are at the top and bottom of Mushroom Lane, and blue badge holders may park on Mushroom Lane or Damer Street without charge or time limit. The nearest railway station is Sheffield, with tram connection to Sheffield University.
