What it’s like
A Thursday night choir for adults who fancy singing West End numbers with a live conductor, no audition needed.
You turn up on a Thursday evening, learn West End songs with a professional conductor, and see how it feels before committing to anything. That's the point of the £12 taster rehearsal, and if you decide to join as a member that same night, before midnight, they refund the £12, which is a decent way to try before you buy.
Sign up properly and you're looking at £130 for a 10-week term, or you can split it into monthly Direct Debit payments if a single chunk doesn't suit. Members get lyric sheets, sheet music and MP3 harmony tracks to practise with at home, plus a free app so you're not turning up cold each week. There's also talk of workshops and experiences like recording at Abbey Road Studios, which is a proper reason to stick with it beyond the Thursday sessions.
Rehearsals run 7.30pm to 9pm, so it's an after-work slot rather than a late one. Taster places are limited and go quickly. London Bridge, Borough and Southwark tube stations are all close by, so getting there after work is straightforward enough.
