What it’s like
Weekly Wednesday-night rehearsals singing West End songs, with a £12 taster before you commit to a term.
This is a singing group built around West End musical numbers, run on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm. Rehearsals are led by industry professionals, and you get lyric sheets, sheet music and mp3 harmony tracks to work from between sessions, so the homework side is properly organised rather than left to memory.
You start with a £12 taster rehearsal, and if you decide to join as a full member by midnight that same night, they refund the taster fee, which is a neat way to try it without the cost stacking up. A full term runs ten weeks for £130, payable in one go or split into monthly Direct Debit instalments if that suits your budget better. Terms build towards an end of term presentation, so there's a proper performance to work towards rather than just weekly practice with no payoff.
There's flexibility built in too: membership lets you switch between venues and nights if your schedule changes, and members get access to workshops and experiences, including recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios, which is a genuinely good line to have on a CV or just to brag about at dinner.
It's based at High Street Kensington, right by the tube station, so getting there without a car is easy. If you are driving, it's street parking and pay and display machines nearby rather than a dedicated car park, so factor in a bit of time to find a space on a Wednesday evening.
