What it’s like
An outdoor adventure park with over 20 attractions plus soft play for under-12s, with a restaurant and free parking on site.
The adventure park is the main event here, with more than 20 outdoor attractions to work through between spring and autumn. It runs 10am to 5pm with last entry at 4pm, so a morning arrival gives you the best crack at getting round everything before the queues build up.
If the weather turns, or you've got a child too small for the big outdoor stuff, the soft play takes children up to 12 and keeps different hours depending on the day. Thursday is the odd one out, closing at 3.30pm rather than the 5pm you get the rest of the week, so that's one to check before you plan a late-afternoon visit.
There's a restaurant on site doing freshly made meals, cakes and coffee, open every day from 9am to 4pm, which covers breakfast through to a late lunch without much fuss. Dogs aren't allowed to roam the whole site but there's a pet-friendly area in the restaurant, and parking is free, which takes one cost worry off the table even if the day itself adds up. A gift and toy shop rounds things off nicely for the walk back to the car, which is either a lovely treat or a small disaster depending on how your child feels about leaving empty-handed.
Step-free access and an accessible toilet are both on site, and there's a picnic area if you'd rather bring your own food than eat in. Group bookings are catered for too, so it's a reasonable option if you're planning something bigger than the usual family trip.
