What it’s like

Rainforest-themed climbing zones, rope bridges and a volcano wall slide, with a wristband game thrown in and a separate area for under threes.

The draw here is the volcano wall slide and the rope bridges strung through the rainforest play zones, the sort of thing a six or seven-year-old will want to do on repeat before you can drag them to the car. There's a Tag Active game that comes with a wristband, which adds a bit of screen-and-movement fun on top of the usual climbing and sliding. Under-threes get their own soft play area away from the bigger frames, so a toddler and an older sibling can both be occupied without one flattening the other.

Pricing is split by age and by time of week, which is fair enough but does mean checking which bracket your child falls into before you turn up. A 3+ ticket is £8.95 term-time weekdays and jumps to £10.95 at weekends and holidays, while the youngest babies (7-11 months) get in for £2.95 off-peak. Going midweek in term time is the obvious way to save a few pounds if your week allows it.

Parking's free on site, which takes the sting out of the entry price a little, and there are bus routes stopping right outside if you're coming without a car. Birthday parties run as the Jungle Explorer package, two hours of play plus food, drinks and a party host, and the birthday child gets a free return visit thrown in, a nice touch if you've got more than one soft play trip planned that year.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

It depends on age and the day. A 3+ ticket is £8.95 on term-time weekdays and £10.95 at weekends and holidays, with cheaper bands for babies and toddlers under 3.

Is it any good for a baby or toddler?

There's a dedicated under-3s soft play area separate from the main rainforest zones, and 7-11 month olds get in for as little as £2.95 off-peak.

Do we need to book ahead?

There's no booking link listed, so it looks like a turn-up-and-pay setup.

What are the opening hours?

10am to 7pm every day, including school holidays.

Is parking free?

Yes, free parking on site.

Can we get there by bus or train?

Bus routes 240, X11 and 266 stop right outside. Motherwell and Airbles train stations are both about a 20-25 minute walk.

What's included in a birthday party?

The Jungle Explorer party gives you two hours of play, food, drinks and a party host, priced £13.95 to £16.95 a child depending on the day. The birthday child also gets a free return visit.

What do kids actually do there?

Climb and slide through the rainforest-themed zones, cross rope bridges, take on the volcano wall slide and play a Tag Active game with a wristband.

Is peak pricing worth avoiding?

If you can go on a term-time weekday, you'll save a couple of pounds a head compared to weekend and holiday prices.
