What it’s like
A walkway above snow leopards and tigers, a steamy tropical house, and a garden big enough for a proper picnic.
Snow leopards, tigers and clouded leopards are the big draw here, and the treetop walkway puts you right above their enclosures rather than peering through a fence at ground level. It's the sort of vantage point that makes the whole visit worth it on its own, so save it for when the kids still have some patience left rather than rushing it at the start.
The tropical house is a proper change of pace, walk-through habitats that are warm and green whatever's happening outside, good for a slow wander rather than a quick dash. There's an adventure play area too, useful for burning through the last bit of energy before you head back to the car, and keeper talks and animal encounters happen through the day if you time it right.
Food-wise there's one café doing hot and cold meals, snacks and cakes, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, so fussy eaters and adults both get something decent. Picnics are allowed in the gardens as well, which is handy if you'd rather eat outside near the animals than sit inside. It opens daily from 10am, and between the walkway, the tropical house and the play area you could easily fill a good chunk of a day here.
