Nottingham
What it’s like
Live gigs, DJ workshops and studio space in a converted depot, with a café bar and no booking needed.
This is a music venue built into an old bus depot, running gigs, DJ workshops and studio sessions for anyone who wants to have a go rather than just watch. If your teenager's into music production or wants to try DJing properly rather than just messing about on an app, the workshop spaces are the bit to book time in for.
Hours shift a lot across the week. Monday to Thursday it opens at 5pm and runs to 11, so it is an evening spot on weekdays. Friday and Saturday it opens at 9am and stays open till midnight, which gives you a proper daytime window if you want to catch a workshop before the gigs start up.
There is a café bar doing beer, coffee and food. No booking is needed anywhere, you can just walk up, though popular gig nights are the kind of thing that fills a room fast once word gets round.
