What it’s like
A multi-level soft play frame, football pitch and a role play village with its own café and fire station for under-tens.
The big frame is only part of it here. There's a football pitch and a race track alongside the usual climbing and sliding, plus ball pools for the smaller ones who aren't ready for the top level yet. The bit that'll actually get talked about on the way home is the role play village, a mini café, police station and fire station rolled into one, which is a nice change from just chucking kids at a slide for two hours.
Sessions run for two hours and fifteen minutes, so there's no need to watch the clock every five minutes. It's £9 for anyone over a year old, babies under six months go free, and the 6 to 11 months bracket is £3.50, which is a fair way to price it if you've got more than one age in the buggy. Parking's free on-site, which is one less thing to think about on a Harrogate high street.
The café does proper coffee rather than just a hot water machine in the corner, and there's food beyond the standard chips and crisps if you're stopping for lunch. It's open every day from 9 till 6.
Birthday parties are a big part of what they do. Two hours, £11.95 a child Monday to Thursday or £14.95 at weekends, minimum of 10 children, and it includes the soft play, party food and time in the role play village. That minimum number is worth knowing before you start writing the invite list.
