What it’s like
A role-play town of tiny shops, a vet's clinic and a fire station, built for under-tens in 90-minute sessions.
This one's not about a big frame with slides, it's a little town: a supermarket and cafe, a vet's clinic, a beauty boutique, a construction zone and a police and fire setup, all built for pretend play rather than climbing. There's a separate sensory soft play area for babies and toddlers, kept away from the older ones who are busy running the till in the mini supermarket or bandaging a teddy in the vet's.
Sessions run for 90 minutes, and they ask you not to arrive more than 5 minutes early since they need that time to reset the zones. Socks are compulsory for everyone in the play areas, kids and adults, so pack them or budget for buying a pair on arrival. Outside food isn't allowed in during normal sessions, baby milk and food aside, which is a bit of a faff if you were planning a picnic lunch in between.
It opens Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 until half 3, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 6, but it's shut on Tuesdays, so that's one to check before you plan a midweek trip. Parking is a two-minute walk away in a pay-on-exit car park, or there's street parking that the site itself admits fills up fast at weekends.
Parties are the exclusive-hire option here, £225 for up to 25 children with a £45 deposit that's non-refundable. You get the run of the place, you can bring your own food and birthday cake, which isn't allowed on a normal session, and simple decorations are fine as long as you skip the confetti and glitter.
