What it’s like

A proper comedy club night out, with lunchtime family shows where under-14s can come along too.

This isn't a soft play or a farm, it's a comedy club, and most nights it's strictly an adult crowd. But the Lunchtime Family Comedy Shows are the ones to look at if you're bringing kids: under-14s get concession tickets and can attend, as long as they're with an adult over 18. It's a different beast from the Friday night stand-up, and worth booking as its own thing rather than assuming any show is family-friendly.

Advance tickets start at £10, or £27.50 gets you the show plus food bundle. Food's served at most of the Friday and Saturday night shows and the majority of tour dates, and you can pre-order through their app before doors, which saves faffing about at a table with a hungry kid. What you can't do is bring anything in from outside, no snacks, no sweets, not even a birthday cake, so if your seven-year-old's got a sugar craving, sort it before you go in.

Booking ahead is genuinely worth doing here, shows sell out and door tickets cost more if there's anything spare. There's no printed ticket either, you just give your name at the door, which feels odd the first time but works fine. Under-18s need photo ID on them and must be with an adult who's got a ticket, so don't send a teenager off to meet mates without checking that first.

It's step-free with a lift, there's an accessible toilet, and wheelchair spaces can be booked online, though they're limited and go first come, first served. Parking's the Concert Square car park opposite, charged, or free on-street after 6pm if your show's an evening one. It's a five-minute stroll from Buchanan Bus Station if you're coming in that way.

Plan your visit

Is this actually suitable for kids?

Most shows are adult comedy, but the Lunchtime Family Comedy Shows have concession and child tickets, and under-14s can attend with an adult over 18.

How much are tickets?

£10 advance for standard entry, or £27.50 if you want the show and food bundle together.

Do we need to book ahead?

Yes, and they mean it, shows sell out close to the date. There are sometimes door tickets left but they cost more.

Can we bring our own snacks or a birthday cake?

No outside food or drink at all, cakes included. Food's available at most Friday and Saturday shows and you can pre-order through their app before doors.

What's the deal with ID?

It's a Challenge 25 venue, so anyone who looks under 25 might get asked for ID. Under-18s need photo ID and must stay with an adult who has a ticket.

Is there wheelchair access and parking nearby?

Step-free access via a lift, an accessible toilet, and wheelchair spaces you book in advance as they're limited. Parking's at Concert Square opposite, charged, or free on-street after 6pm.
