What it’s like

One-to-one music and singing lessons in Kinning Park, booked in advance, from £30 for half an hour.

This is a one-to-one tuition setup rather than a drop-in class: you book a lesson slot, in an instrument or voice, and work with a tutor for 30, 45 or 60 minutes. They also help with exam study and can sort instrument hire, so it suits someone starting from scratch as much as a pupil working towards grades.

The site is at 542 Scotland Street West in Kinning Park, about three minutes from the subway station, with free on-street parking nearby if you're driving over. Opening hours run 9am to 9pm every day, which gives you a decent stretch to fit a lesson around school or work, but everything has to be arranged in advance. There's no turning up on spec, even just to look round.

Cost depends on how long you book. Half an hour is £30, three quarters of an hour is £39.50, and a full hour is £49.50. That's a fair jump between the 45 and 60 minute options.

If you or your child has an accessibility need, disability, sensory issue, mobility barrier or anything that might affect a lesson, they say you can raise it without needing a diagnosis or medical evidence first. Worth flagging before you travel over so they can talk through what's workable for the room and tutor on the day.
