The Good Coffee Cartel
WHERE
Glasgow
What it’s like
A dog-friendly coffee shop with cakes and artisanal sodas, useful for a sit-down before or after whatever else is on the cards.
This one's more a pit stop than an outing in its own right. It's a proper coffee shop, the kind that grinds beans to order and sells the grinders too if you get that into it, with cakes and artisanal sodas for anyone who isn't drinking flat whites yet.
There's no soft play, no activity sheet, nothing pitched at kids specifically. What you get is indoor seating, a dog-friendly door if you've got one in tow, and hours that stretch from 8am to 5pm most days, so it's flexible for a mid-morning stop or a late afternoon one before the shops shut. Sunday's shorter, 9am to 4pm, worth remembering if you're planning round it.
Think of it as the place you duck into between the museum and the car park, or the reward stop after a long walk, rather than the main event. A cake and an artisanal soda will keep most kids happy for twenty minutes while the grown-ups actually get to drink their coffee hot for once.

Plan your visit
What are the opening hours?
8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm on Sundays.
Is there anything for kids to do there?
Not really, it's a coffee shop rather than a play venue. Cakes and artisanal sodas are on the menu though, which usually does the job.
Can we bring the dog?
Dog-friendly, so no need to leave anyone at home.
Do we need to book?
Nothing on booking, so it reads as a turn-up sort of place.
