What it’s like
An hour with rescue cats to stroke and sit quietly with, for kids five and up who can behave gently around animals.
You get an hour in the room with the cats, all of them rescues or raised at the café from kittens. There's no big activity list here, it's really just about sitting, watching and cuddling the cats that fancy the attention, so it suits a child who can sit still and be gentle rather than one who wants to run about. Five is the minimum age and they mean it, kids have to be with an adult the whole time.
It's £7.99 on weekdays and £9.99 at weekends, which is a fair jump for an hour, so a weekday visit is the better value if your week allows it. Booking's recommended rather than compulsory. They'll fit walk-ins in if there's a free slot, but turning up on spec at the weekend feels like a gamble worth avoiding.
There's a café on site doing food and drink, and you can't bring your own, so factor that into the hour rather than treating it as a quick stop before lunch elsewhere. There's no parking at the venue itself, but a car park two minutes' walk away covers that. The triple door system they mention is there for a reason, escape-artist cats are apparently a real concern, so don't expect doors propped open for a quick in-and-out.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£7.99 a person on weekdays, £9.99 at weekends, for the over-fives.
Do we need to book?
Booking in advance is recommended. Walk-ins get squeezed in if there's space, but weekends are the riskier time to chance it.
Is it suitable for young children?
Kids need to be five or over and stay with an adult the whole visit. It's more of a sit-and-stroke session than anything active, so younger children who can't stay calm around cats won't get much from it.
Is there parking nearby?
No parking on site, but there's a car park about two minutes' walk away.
