What it’s like

Social darts with food and drinks brought straight to your oche, but it's a bar, and after 5pm it's over-18s only.

This one's for the older kids and teenagers rather than a family soft play swap. The game is Social Darts, and a TV above the board talks you through the rules, so nobody needs to have thrown a dart before. Food and drink gets brought right to your oche, so you can eat pizza off a paddle between turns without breaking off to find a table.

Here's the catch worth knowing before you plan around it: Family Sessions aren't currently running in Glasgow, and from 5pm it switches to over-18s only with a Challenge 25 policy on the door. So this is really a daytime option if you're bringing anyone under 25 without ID sorted, or a teens-and-adults outing rather than a toddler one.

Booking your oche in advance is strongly recommended, especially at busy times, because walk-ins aren't guaranteed a slot. There are minimum group sizes too, from 4pm on weekdays and all day Saturday, so a small family group turning up at that point might get turned away. You can pre-order food and drinks up to 48 hours ahead through a link once you've booked, which takes the faff out of ordering for a big group, and food runs from 11:30am until at least 10pm daily.

Birthday parties are welcome, and they'll sort a treat if you mention it when booking. Balloons are fine as long as they stay away from the board, and banners can't go on the walls, which is a small thing but worth knowing if you had bunting planned.

For groups over 12 you'll get two oches side by side, and over 24 gets you three.
