What it’s like
Full-day holiday camp where kids pick from seven sports plus swimming, running 8am to 5pm across the school holidays.
Kids choose their own sport each session from a list of seven: netball, rugby, football, gymnastics, cricket, hockey, tennis, with swimming as an option too. Coaching runs in blocks through the day with a 15-minute break after each one, so there's time to refill a water bottle, grab a snack, or have a go at basketball in the sports hall before picking the next sport. For ages 3 to 6 there's a separate Super Stars programme, mixing sports with creative activities, dance and drama and some quieter free play, rather than throwing little ones straight into full-on coaching.
Days run 8am to 5pm, with drop-off between 8 and 8.45am and pick-up any time from 4 to 5. That's a proper full day out, which suits working parents but is a long stretch for a younger child. The daily rate is £26, though the full price is listed at £39. Childcare vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare are both accepted, which helps soften the cost over a week or two.
If your child plays hockey they need to bring their own mouth guard and shin pads, which is an easy one to forget on a first morning. Siblings or friends can stick together all day, they just need to pick the same sport at the start of each session. The camps run across most school holidays, including a two-week Easter stretch and seven weeks over summer.
Coaches are qualified to Level 2 or higher and many are still playing at a high level themselves, and the whole setup is Ofsted-registered, which covers staff ratios and supervision.
