What it’s like

A full day of archery, laser tag, dance and STEM sessions for school-age kids, run 9am to 3.30pm with breakfast and after-care add-ons.

Days here are split by age group, so a Reception child (called a MINI) gets a gentler, more nurturing programme than a Year 6 in the XTRA! group who might spend the afternoon at laser tag or archery. In between there's dance, musical theatre, multi-sports, treasure hunts and a talent show, and the site says no two days run the same during a half term or holiday, which is a decent way to stop the same kid asking "what are we doing today" every morning.

The standard day runs 9am to 3.30pm at £37.95, with early drop-off from 8am (£5.50, breakfast included) and late pick-up to 5.30pm (£6, snack included) if your working day doesn't fit neatly around camp hours. You can book single days rather than a whole week, which helps if you're only short one or two days of cover. Staff ratios are 1:8 for the Reception MINIs and 1:14 for everyone older, and the camps are Ofsted registered with first aid staff on site.

The one that catches people out is lunch: it is not provided, so you're packing a nut-free and sesame-free lunch, snack and drink every morning, and that policy is enforced properly rather than as a gentle suggestion. Cancelling a booked place needs four weeks' written notice for a refund, minus a small admin fee. There's on-site parking and it's wheelchair accessible.

Plan your visit

How much does a day cost?

£37.95 for the standard 9am to 3.30pm day. Early drop-off from 8am with breakfast is £5.50 extra, and late pick-up to 5.30pm with a snack is £6 extra.

What age range is this for?

Four to twelve year olds, split into MINIs (Reception), JNRs (Years 1-2), SNRs (Years 3-6) and XTRA! (Years 3-7).

Can a four-year-old come along?

Yes, as long as they're in Reception they go into the MINIs group, which the site describes as a nurturing programme built just for that age.

Do we need to book, and can we just do one day?

Booking is required but you can book as many or as few days as you like, there's no need to commit to a full week.

Do they provide lunch?

You pack a nut-free and sesame-free lunch, snack and drink. HAF families get lunch provided.

What happens if my child has an accident or an allergic reaction?

There's qualified first aid staff on site for anything minor, and they'll contact you straightaway for anything more serious. If your child carries an Epi-Pen, at least one staff member at each camp is trained to use one, but you do need to tell them in advance.

Can I cancel if plans change?

You need to give four weeks' written notice for a refund, and there's a small £4 admin fee taken off even then. Late cancellations are a real risk, so book with that in mind.

Is the activity list the same every day?

They change it up day to day across a half term or holiday, mixing arts and crafts, STEM, sport and things like laser tag and archery.
